National One-Way System Implemented, Bandung-Bound Travellers Advised to Exit at Km 72
JAKARTA - The implementation of the national one-way system for the Lebaran return traffic has officially been applied from Km 414 at Kalikangkung Toll Gate to Km 70 at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on Tuesday (24/3/2026). To support the smooth execution of this traffic engineering, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) advises road users heading to Bandung to utilise the exit at Km 72 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section. Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that this advice is given so that road users can better plan their travel routes during the traffic engineering period. JTT also urges all Trans Java Toll road users to always prioritise driving safety by ensuring the driver’s and vehicle’s conditions are in top shape, maintaining a safe distance, and confirming sufficient electronic money balance before travelling. The national one-way system was enforced from 2:25 PM WIB as the volume of return traffic vehicles to Jakarta increased. “The implementation of this national one-way traffic engineering is carried out to anticipate density and smooth the return flow. We advise road users to ensure vehicle and driver conditions are optimal, not to stop on the roadside except in emergencies, not to change lanes suddenly, and to obey speed limits,” said Rivan. Additionally, road users in emergency situations are advised to use the left shoulder (inner shoulder), not the right shoulder. Previously, traffic engineering was carried out in stages. On Monday (23/3) at 4:15 PM WIB, a local one-way from Km 263 on the Pejagan-Pemalang toll road (Brebes Barat GT) to Km 70 GT Cikampek Utama was implemented. Subsequently, at 8:20 PM WIB, stage 2 local one-way from Km 390 on the Batang-Semarang toll road to Km 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road was applied. As a measure to anticipate density, Jasa Marga advises the public to plan travel times and avoid peak return flows on 24, 28, and 29 March 2026. Road users can also take advantage of the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy on 25-27 March 2026 as well as a 30 percent toll discount on 26-27 March 2026 on nine strategic Jasa Marga Group routes.
