JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Kakorlantas Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho stated that the national one-way traffic scheme will remain in effect until Friday (20/3/2026).

“Thursday, 19 March 2026 evening, the traffic flow was observed to be quite light, but the national one-way scheme is still being implemented,” Agus said in his statement, as quoted from the korlantas.polri.go.id website, Friday.

Agus said that his team is continuing to monitor the flow of vehicles passing through.

“If on Friday, 20 March 2026 morning, the vehicle flow becomes even lighter, an evaluation will be conducted jointly with stakeholders such as the Minister of Transportation and the Director of Jasa Marga, and reported to the National Police Chief for the possibility of stopping the one-way scheme,” Agus continued.

Currently, Korlantas is also preparing several traffic engineering schemes, such as the open-close system, traffic diversion, and the implementation of contraflow and one-way in various areas to handle the surge in vehicle volume.

The prepared schemes target toll roads to arterial routes.

“On arterial roads, there has indeed been an increase in traffic flow, but the Provincial Police Chiefs and Traffic Directors have prepared various scenarios such as open-close, traffic diversion, including contraflow and one-way in several areas,” said Agus.

Previously, the national one-way had been implemented starting from KM 70 Gerbang Tol Cikampek Utama, West Java, to KM 414 Gerbang Tol Kalikangkung since Wednesday.
