JAKARTA - Korlantas Polri will lift the national one-way scheme for Lebaran return traffic gradually starting from Wednesday afternoon (25/3/2026). This decision was taken after traffic conditions were assessed to be easing and under control. Kakorlantas Polri Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho stated that an evaluation was conducted at 10:00 WIB with relevant authorities. “With the permission of the National Police Chief, following the evaluation at 10:00 WIB, we are socialising the lifting of the national one-way scheme,” Agus said in an official statement on Wednesday (25/3/2026). The lifting will be carried out gradually starting from 12:00 WIB, beginning with the normalisation of traffic from KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Road to KM 263 of the Pejagan Toll Road. Thus, the route towards Jakarta will be reopened in both directions. However, local one-way traffic engineering will still be implemented on the stretch from KM 263 to KM 70 as part of the subsequent stage of return flow management. Agus explained that this policy was adopted because the distribution of vehicles has started to become even, thus no longer requiring a full one-way scheme on the main route. Cumulatively, around 58 per cent or 1.9 million vehicles have returned towards Jakarta. Meanwhile, the remaining return flow is estimated to continue until 29 March 2026.
