National One-Way Route Opened by Police Chief and Three Ministers from Kalikangkung

Semarang (ANTARA) - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, together with three ministers, opened the one-way route for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return traffic starting from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate in Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday. The three ministers who joined in opening the one-way route were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, and Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin. The opening of the one-way route during the Eid return traffic was marked by the raising of the flag by the Police Chief and the three ministers. According to Pratikno, the opening of the one-way route is part of the return traffic management to ease congestion. “This effort aims to ensure the safety and comfort of motorists,” he said. Meanwhile, the Police Chief stated that the traffic engineering had been preceded by the implementation of a partial one-way route. The implementation of the national one-way route, he said, coincides with the peak of the return traffic expected to occur on Tuesday. The Police Chief said the one-way route is enforced from kilometre marker 414 at Kalikangkung Toll Gate Semarang to kilometre 70 at Cikampek Utara Toll Gate. After the Cikampek Utara Toll Gate, he continued, traffic engineering will be carried out to prevent congestion towards Jakarta. He hopes that the public returning from their hometowns will continue to maintain security and safety during their journey.
