The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is testing the development of a food presentation model for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme through Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) using a buffet system in schools. This trial aims to provide warmer and fresher food, reduce the risk of food spoilage that could lead to health issues, and strengthen the educational experience for beneficiaries.

During the trial at SMPN 2 Kandeman in Batang Regency, Central Java, students were observed selecting side dishes via the buffet system. The implementation of this model is part of the agency’s effort to optimise the delivery of nutritional support through the national programme.
