JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has temporarily suspended one Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) unit in Bogor that was found to be washing food ingredients in a mosque area. The SPPG Bogor Ranca Bungur Bantarjaya 2 unit has been suspended since Wednesday (18/3/2026) until improvements are made. This SPPG unit was using the mosque area as a place to wash food ingredients that were to be used. This activity was carried out without permission and violated the operational procedures set by BGN. “Our goal is clear: to maintain production quality, nutritional standards, and food safety. Any action that could lower these standards must be addressed immediately,” continued Nanik. During this operational suspension, the SPPG Ranca Bungur Bantarjaya 2 unit is required to repair its facilities and infrastructure. Additionally, it must submit valid supporting documents to the Directorate of Regional Monitoring and Supervision II of BGN. “The revocation of the suspension status can only be done after verification is complete and all standards are met. There is no compromise for ignored procedures,” emphasised Nanik. BGN emphasises that all SPPG units must operate by prioritising cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with applicable regulations. “This is our form of responsibility to the community and public facilities. Every violation, no matter how small, has clear consequences,” concluded Nanik.
