JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, has reprimanded Hendrik Irawan, the owner of a Nutritional Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in Cimahi, West Java, who went viral for dancing while boasting about receiving Rp 6 million per day from the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.

Dadan has asked Hendrik to immediately apologise to the public. “We have reprimanded him. And at the same time, we have asked the individual to apologise to the public,” Dadan told Kompas.com on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

Contacted separately, Deputy Head of BGN Nanik S Deyang stated that Hendrik had been met by the Director of Monitoring and Supervision at BGN and given a stern reprimand.

Nanik said that BGN regrets Hendrik’s dancing antics at the SPPG.

“He has been sternly reprimanded. Clearly, we are very disappointed and regretful about the attitude of this partner,” said Nanik.

She wondered why Hendrik had to overact to the extent of dancing like that. “Why overact like that?” she said.

Now, Hendrik’s SPPG has been temporarily closed or suspended by BGN.

“Coincidentally, after checking the kitchen, it turned out the layout was incorrect. And the IPAL (Wastewater Treatment Installation) was not proper, so we suspended it,” added Nanik.

Quoted from Tribunnews, Hendrik responded to various negative accusations from netizens.

Hendrik provided clarification regarding the source of funding for building his facilities, which amounted to billions of rupiah.

Hendrik emphasised that the SPPG kitchen he manages was built using personal funds, not state budget.

He claimed to have spent up to Rp 3.5 billion to create it to support the national programme.

“I built it (the SPPG kitchen) up to Rp 3.5 billion, so from the President’s appreciation, the SPPG was finally built, which initially was my own capital,” said Hendrik Irawan in a video on his personal TikTok account.

Regarding the Rp 6 million figure that has been widely discussed, Hendrik clarified that the amount is a building incentive for all partners joining, not purely personal income.
