National Nutrition Agency Returns Rp311 Billion to State Treasury from 414 Problematic Service Units

The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BNS), Sudaryono, revealed that the agency has returned Rp311,246,295,184 to the state treasury. This amount is the result of an internal audit conducted across 27,469 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), which serve as kitchens for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. From this total, 414 SPPG units were found to be problematic.

“We are returning state funds, the people’s money, amounting to Rp311,246,295,184 following our investigation into 414 SPPG units,” Sudaryono stated at the BGN Office in Central Jakarta on Friday, 31 July 2026.

Sudaryono explained that the 414 problematic units were identified as having duplicate bank accounts or having active accounts despite the kitchens being non-operational or non-existent. “After verifying each one individually, we found that 414 SPPG units or kitchens had accounts that were either duplicated or belonged to kitchens that do not exist or have not yet commenced operations,” he added.

The Rp311.2 billion has been returned to the state through various banks: Rp137.5 billion via Bank BRI involving 121 SPPG units; Rp74 billion via Bank BNI involving 117 SPPG units; Rp71.6 billion via Bank Mandiri involving 129 SPPG units; Rp12.9 billion via Bank Syariah Indonesia involving 19 SPPG units; and Rp15.3 billion via Bank BTN involving 28 SPPG units.
