The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Regional Division of Yogyakarta has opened a complaint hotline related to the free nutritious meal programme (MBG) titled “Lapor Mas Kareg” at the telephone number 0857-8414-6311. The Yogyakarta Provincial Government has urged the public not to hesitate in reporting problems related to the MBG programme.

The Regional Coordinator for Yogyakarta, Wirandita Gagat Widyatmoko, stated that the Lapor Mas Kareg hotline receives various reports, feedback, and public aspirations regarding the implementation of the MBG programme.

“Regarding complaints received by the Lapor Mas Kareg complaint line for the Yogyakarta region, these will certainly be verified and validated first by the related team concerning the sequence of events and field facts that have occurred,” Gagat said in a written statement received by detikJogja on Monday, 9 March 2026.

“Then after obtaining sufficient investigation, follow-up action will be taken,” he added.

If violations are found by nutrition service fulfilment units (SPPG), Gagat stated that if proven, sanctions will be applied. “The sanctions that will be given can be tiered as written warning 1, written warning 2, and written warning 3 in accordance with the escalation of the violation committed,” Gagat explained.

“Ranging from temporary operational suspension up to permanent operational suspension,” he further noted.

In addition to launching the hotline, the Yogyakarta region also established a complaint post for SPPG at Kapanewon Seyegan, located at SPPG Margomulyo. The plan is for similar complaint posts to be established progressively across all kapanewon (district divisions) within the Yogyakarta region.

Responding to this step by BGN’s Yogyakarta region, the Yogyakarta Regional Secretary Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti expressed appreciation. She viewed this move as a good-faith effort that should also be received positively.

“We hope that Yogyakarta can become an example in being open, both in terms of nutritional content and pricing. Opening a hotline is also a good-faith effort, meaning they are willing to receive criticism,” Made said when met at the Kepatihan Complex today.

Made also urged the public not to hesitate in reporting problems related to the MBG programme. She asked the public not to fear reporting, as this has been guaranteed by a statement from Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, Deputy Head of BGN for Communication and Investigation.

“(What if the public is afraid to report?) Well, Ms Nanik has already guaranteed that those who report will also not be subject to sanctions, so let’s just trust that such things will not happen,” she said.

“And if perhaps there are such matters, then it’s just up to netizens to make a fuss about it,” Made concluded.
