The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has recorded that there are 24,000 nutritious meal service units (SPPG) spread throughout Indonesia. The construction of these free nutritious kitchens (MBG) is carried out through a partnership scheme.

“With the partnerships we have established, it has facilitated and expedited the Nutritious Meal Programme, so that today, throughout Indonesia, there are 24,000 SPPGs from Sabang to Merauke,” said the Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, in a written statement quoted by detikFinance, Tuesday (24/2/2026).

Dadan said that this partnership scheme makes it easier and faster to implement the MBG programme for beneficiaries. This scheme also helps accelerate the development of service infrastructure without relying entirely on state funding for physical construction.

Dadan revealed that they provide incentives of IDR 6 million per day for each MBG or approximately IDR 144 million per month. This scheme is considered more efficient than if the government had to build and manage all the facilities independently.

Dadan revealed that time is the most valuable factor in this partnership process. The speed of implementation is key to this programme.

“Furthermore, the most valuable aspect of this partnership process, and I think this should be appreciated by the state and all parties involved in the development, is the winning of time, namely the speed of time. Time is one of the factors in this world that cannot be recovered, is irreversible, and moves in one direction,” explained Dadan.

He emphasized that accelerating development and strengthening partnerships are the main strategies to ensure that all national targets can be achieved on time and sustainably.

“Therefore, in the Al-Qur’an, it is mentioned ‘Wal ’Ashr’ (By Time). This is very relevant, because in the implementation of the MBG programme, if it is not carried out quickly, I think all parties will suffer greatly,” explained Dadan.
