National Nutrition Agency Office Raided, Visitors Temporarily Barred

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has confirmed that the office of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) was raided on Wednesday, resulting in a temporary ban on visitors other than BGN employees entering the headquarters in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta.

According to observations, the BGN office has been under heavy security, with personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police stationed at the site since 08:00 WIB. Most employees entering and exiting the premises declined to provide statements.

As of 12:00 WIB, no official statement has been released by the BGN regarding the inspection by the Attorney General’s Office. A security official noted that several BGN leaders are currently in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, to attend an event featuring international motivational speaker Tony Robbins.

The Attorney General’s Office confirmed the search of the BGN office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday morning. “It is true,” stated the Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Mochamad Jeffry, to ANTARA in Jakarta. He added that the search was conducted by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). However, he was unable to provide specific details regarding the purpose of the raid.

This development follows President Prabowo Subianto’s recent removal of Dadan Hindayana as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), effective from 2 June 2026. The Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, who also serves as the Presidential Spokesperson, announced the dismissal during a press conference at the Presidential Office on Tuesday night.

“On this Tuesday, 2 June 2026, the President has made the decision to change the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency,” said Prasetyo. Consequently, Dadan has been replaced by Nanik S. Deyang, who previously served as the Deputy Head of the BGN.
