National Logistics Strangled by Airport 'Ghost Fees', What's Going On?

The Chairman of DPP ASPERINDO (Indonesian Express, Postal and Logistics Services Association), Budiyanto Darmastono, has outlined the pressures on Indonesia’s logistics business due to additional fees for Cargo and Postal Security Inspection Services (JASPER/JASTER) of Rp700 per kilogram, as well as a Cargo Handling Charge (SGHA) of Rp340 per kilogram for air cargo services. Budiyanto Darmastono noted that several logistics cost components have increased, even though some components could actually be reduced. Business players are also requesting transparency in logistics costs to provide certainty for the business world.
