National Library to stage exhibition

SEMARANG, Central Java: The National Library will exhibit a
rare collection of Indonesian artifacts and ancient manuscripts
during an exhibition to be held here from Dec. 2 to Dec. 4.

Supriyanto, head of the National Library's Semarang branch,
said the exhibition aims to encourage an appreciation of
Indonesian culture.

It was also designed to promote cooperation among libraries in
Indonesia, he was quoted by Antara as saying Saturday.

"We will also demonstrate modern library facilities. By doing
so, we want to show our ancient manuscripts and rare collections
and let people make comparisons between old and modern
collections," he said.
