The National Board of Karang Taruna (PNKT) has distributed 285 school supply packages to students at SDN Karang Tengah 05, alongside clean water assistance for residents of Karang Tengah Village, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency. This social service, held on the second day of the PNKT 2026 Training of Trainers (ToT) and Retreat, was designed to address basic community needs, particularly in education and clean water availability.

A total of 285 school supply packages, consisting of books, stationery, and bags, were presented to all students at SDN Karang Tengah 05, ranging from Grade I to Grade VI. The school operates ten classrooms with eight teachers and one headmaster. In addition to the students, PNKT also provided assistance to the teachers and the headmaster.

Toni Santoni, Head of SDN Karang Tengah 05, expressed his appreciation for PNKT’s support. He noted that the school continues to face limitations in facilities and infrastructure, including a lack of clean water sources. Furthermore, the school currently has only one toilet shared by all 28ly 85 students.

Representing the General Chairman of PNKT, Budisatrio Djiwandono, the Secretary General of PNKT, Malik Haramain, stated that the aid is expected to support learning activities and boost student morale. “We hope this school equipment can serve as an incentive for the children to continue studying and achieving their dreams. The Chairman also hopes that this synergy and care will not end with today’s activity,” Malik said in a written statement on Saturday (1/8/2026).

The aid was symbolically handed over to student representatives in the presence of teachers, parents, and local community members.

In addition to school supplies, PNKT distributed one tank of clean water and bottled drinking water to residents of Karang Tengah Village who face limited access to clean water. The assistance was presented by the Daily Chairman of PNKT, Sabam Rajagukguk, to representatives of the local neighbourhood heads (RT) and the Karang Taruna Village Committee.

“Clean water is a very fundamental need. We hope this assistance can help meet the community’s needs and serve as a manifestation of Karang Taruna’s care and spirit of mutual cooperation,” said Sabam. According to Sabam, Karang Taruna must be able to translate organisational consolidation into activities that provide direct benefits to the community. Consequently, the PNKT 2026 ToT and Retreat focused not only on capacity building and programme alignment but also on social action within the surrounding area.
