Registration for the 2026 National Internship Programme (Program Pemagangan Nasional) Batch 1, Wave 2 has officially opened, according to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker). The programme is designed for recent graduates seeking to gain professional work experience and improve their competencies before entering the job market. Participants can be placed in private companies, government agencies, or independent state institutions. Registration for participants opened on 15 July 2026 and will close on 28 July 2026. The selection process by organisers is scheduled from 29 July to 5 August 2026, with successful candidates announced and starting their placements on 10 August 2026. To be eligible, applicants must be Indonesian citizens holding a diploma (D3) or bachelor’s degree (S1) from a registered higher education institution, with their graduation date being no more than one year prior. For professional degree holders, the certification must have been issued within two years of the initial diploma. During the programme, participants will receive a monthly allowance equivalent to the provincial or regency minimum wage (UMP/UMK), along with work injury and death insurance coverage. The Ministry of Manpower also cautioned the public to be vigilant against fraudulent schemes. It warned against fictitious programmes that require attendance without actual learning activities or structured mentorship. The ministry stressed that there are legal consequences for any party found committing fraud, including the use of fictitious participant data, manipulation of attendance records, or submission of invalid documents.
