National Internship Programme 2026 Batch 1 Schedule Announced
Minister of Manpower Yassierli has launched the second wave of the National Internship Programme (MagangHub) for 2026. In this second wave, the government has increased the participant quota from 100,000 to 150,000 people to broaden opportunities for higher education graduates to gain work experience while accelerating their transition into the workforce.
Citing the official website of the Ministry of Manpower, in addition to increasing the number of participants, the government is also strengthening the quality of the programme’s implementation. Companies, ministries, and agencies must first submit their available internship position requirements. The Ministry of Manpower will then verify these positions to ensure they match the competencies and educational backgrounds of prospective participants.
Beyond gaining work experience, all participants who successfully complete the National Internship Programme (MagangHub) will also receive free competency certification facilitation according to their respective fields of expertise. This facility is expected to further strengthen graduates’ competitiveness by providing them with recognised competencies needed by the business and industrial sectors.
The implementation of MagangHub Wave II is open not only to recent bachelor’s degree graduates but also to professional education graduates and persons with disabilities. This step is part of the government’s commitment to expanding equal access to job opportunities.

Participant Registration: 15 - 28 July 2026
Participant Selection by Organisers: 29 July - 5 August 2026
Participant Announcement: 7 August 2026
First Day of Internship: 10 August 2026
Kick Off MagangHub Wave II Batch I: 11 August 2026
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that 100,000 people participated in the National Internship Programme last year. Of that number, Teddy said, 30 percent were directly hired after their internship period ended. “Interestingly, from the Manpower Minister’s data, last year there were 100,000 internship participants, from nearly 400,000 applicants. So, from those 100,000 participants, after six months, 30 percent of them went straight into employment,” Teddy said at the Ministry of Manpower’s Job Centre in South Jakarta on Monday (29/6/2026).
Teddy said the national internship programme has become a bridge for recent university graduates to obtain employment. He noted that internship participants also receive an income.
