The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has officially closed the second phase of the National Internship Programme 2025 in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that 62,000 fresh graduates from higher education institutions completed the programme, receiving a stipend equivalent to the district/city minimum wage (UMK). Including the first batch of approximately 16,000 participants, a total of 78,000 interns have now finished the programme.

He urged graduates to pursue competency certification to enhance their competitiveness in the job market. The Ministry is facilitating free certification through the National Professional Certification Body (BNSP), with registration open from 8 to 19 June 2026 via the MagangHub platform.

Yassierli added that evaluations of the programme have been positive, with high satisfaction from both participants and companies. He hopes the trend continues in the 2026 iteration and that participants secure employment with the companies where they gained experience. He also aims to expand the programme’s reach beyond a single island or specific region of Indonesia.
