The government has officially opened the implementation of the National Internship programme, also known as Maganghub, Batch III for the 2026 period. For 2026, the government previously stated a quota of 150,000 participants for the National Internship programme.

As a note, the National Internship programme was officially launched on 1 October 2025. This six-month internship programme is intended for fresh graduates from higher education institutions who have been unemployed for a maximum of one year since the date their diploma was issued.

In the 2025 implementation (Batch I), Maganghub was divided into three batches. Similarly, for 2026 (Batch II), Maganghub is open for three batches, with quotas of 46,000, 41,000, and 60,000 participants respectively. It should be noted that for Batch III, these quota figures may change if the government rounds them to meet the 2026 target of 150,000 people.

Uniquely, the implementation of National Internship Batch III for the 2026 period is specifically dedicated to private companies. This differs from previous batches, where participants were placed across ministries, agencies, State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), and private companies.

Timeline for the Implementation of National Internship Batch III 2026

The following is the timeline for the 2026 National Internship Batch III, as quoted from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker):

  3. Recruitment and proposal of participants: 2–10 November

National Internship Participant Stipends

The Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity at Kemnaker, Darmawansyah, previously stated that participants in the third batch, or the participating companies, do not need to pay or contribute to the stipend alongside the government. This is because it will be fully covered by the government.

“The stipend comes purely from the government,” said Darmawansyah.

So, how much is the stipend for National Internship participants?

Kemnaker explained that the amount of the stipend for the 2026 National Internship programme refers to the Decree of the Minister of Manpower (Kepmenaker) No. 252/2026. The amount is determined based on the prevailing regulations in the regency/city where the internship takes place.

Therefore, the stipend amount for National Internship participants will vary by region. The calculation is based on the participant’s attendance.
