JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) is convinced of the involvement of other parties besides the four TNI soldiers suspected in the acid attack on the Deputy Coordinator of KontraS, Andrie Yunus.

This was stated by Komnas HAM Commissioner Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi when asked about the transfer of the four suspects’ files to the Military Judiciary.

“Yes, we have also received information about that (the transfer). However, we still believe that beyond these four individuals, there are other parties,” Pramono said at the Komnas HAM office in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

“That means, if there are, it opens the possibility for other judicial processes to be carried out,” he added.

Pramono continued that the legal process for the Andrie Yunus case, from the police to its transfer to the military, has proceeded and must be respected.

However, they still assess that the military court is not the only option.

“We must not close off the space as if it is the only option to hold the perpetrators accountable,” Pramono stated.

Therefore, Komnas HAM is delving into several other pieces of evidence from the Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) and KontraS on Wednesday.

This aims to open avenues for identifying other suspected perpetrators involved in the acid attack.

It was previously reported that the Head of the TNI Information Centre (Kapuspen) TNI, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, stated that the TNI Central Inspectorate (Puspom TNI) has transferred the four soldiers who are suspects in the acid attack on Andrie Yunus to the Military Judiciary (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

The transfer was carried out after Puspom TNI completed the investigation into the four soldiers from the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS).

After the transfer, prosecutors from the Military Judiciary (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta will examine the completeness of the case files, both in terms of formal and material requirements.

If all documents are deemed to meet the provisions, the case files will then be forwarded to the Military Court II-08 Jakarta for the trial process.
