National Holiday After Pancasila Day: When is the Next Long Weekend?
There are remaining national holidays in June 2026. Based on the Joint Decree (SKB) of Three Ministers, 16 June 2026 has been designated as a national holiday for 1 Muharram, the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijriah. Consequently, another long weekend can be enjoyed in June 2026 on that date, following the Pancasila Day holiday. The Joint Decree was formulated by the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform to regulate national holidays and collective leave for 2026. As the holiday falls on a Tuesday, Monday (15/06/2026) has the potential to become a ‘bridge day’ that the public can utilise to enjoy an extended break. The next scheduled national holiday will be on 17 August 2026, commemorating the Proclamation of Independence. Therefore, the final long weekend in June can be used for short holidays or travelling back to one’s hometown.
