Prabowo Sends Condolences for Khamenei’s Death in a Letter

President Prabowo Subianto has expressed condolences over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei, who died in an airstrike carried out by the United States and Israel over the past weekend.

The condolence note was delivered by the President to Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian. The Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party met Boroujerdi at the Foreign Ministry yesterday, 4 March 2026. Sugiono shared the moment on his Instagram account @menluri.

Prabowo Discusses BoP with Former President: RI Remains Member

President Prabowo Subianto invited party leaders, former presidents, and businesspeople to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on the evening of Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

During the briefing, Prabowo discussed Indonesia’s membership in the Board of Peace (BoP) with his guests. NasDem chairman Surya Paloh was among those present.

“It was explained that there are strategic considerations behind Indonesia’s continued position as a BoP member,” Paloh said after the meeting.

Paloh noted that Prabowo emphasised Indonesia’s continued BoP membership even though the United States is a catalyst for tensions with Iran.

“To this day, Indonesia remains in that position (still in BoP),” Paloh added.
