National Food Agency confirms stable chicken and chilli prices at Cileungsi Market
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Food Agency (Bapanas) has confirmed that broiler chicken and red cayenne chilli prices at Cileungsi Market in Bogor, West Java, remain stable to meet public demand during Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.
Bapanas Deputy for Food Availability and Stabilisation I Gusti Ketut Astawa, who visited Cileungsi Market in Bogor on Thursday alongside the Food Crime Task Force (Satgas Saber Pangan), affirmed that monitored prices for chicken and beef remain within the Government Reference Price (HAP) range.
Ketut said that at Cileungsi Market, beef prices range from Rp130,000 to Rp140,000 per kilogram and chicken at Rp40,000 to Rp41,000 per kilogram, still in line with the HAP.
“These are still within reasonable limits and in accordance with the HAP set by the government,” Ketut said in a statement issued in Jakarta.
Under National Food Agency Regulation Number 12 of 2024, the HAP for red cayenne chilli ranges from Rp40,000 to Rp57,000 per kilogram, whilst beef ranges from Rp130,000 to Rp140,000 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, under National Food Agency Decree Number 529 of 2024, the HAP for broiler chicken is set at Rp40,000 per kilogram.
Furthermore, to bring red cayenne chilli prices back to stable levels, Ketut disclosed that his office has instructed the implementation of Food Distribution Facilitation (FDP) operations to several wholesale markets.
“As directed by Agency Head Andi Amran Sulaiman, who has ordered us to carry out red cayenne chilli FDP operations to the Kramat Jati Wholesale Market, Tanah Tinggi Wholesale Market, and of course to this area as well,” he explained.
