National Flag Hoisting Team Members Undergo Training for Pancasila Birth Anniversary
Members of the National Flag Hoisting Team (Paskibraka) at the Central Level 2025 have regrouped in Jakarta to undergo training and prepare for the Pancasila Birth Anniversary commemorations on 1 June 2026. The gathering of young people from various regions took place with warmth following their previous duty at the Indonesian Independence Day commemoration last year.
The arrival of Paskibraka members began with registration and health checks on Saturday, 23 May 2026. The series of activities then continued with the official opening of Paskibraka training for the 2026 Pancasila Birth Anniversary commemorations.
The Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Yudian Wahyudi, stated that the Pancasila Birth Anniversary represents an important moment to strengthen national values amongst the younger generation. “Pancasila is not merely something to be memorised, but to be practised in daily life,” said Yudian in a statement received on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
Yudian emphasised that the Paskibraka role encompasses more than drill and formation capabilities, but also serves as an exemplar in attitude, discipline, unity, and devotion to the nation.
“Being a Paskibraka member means being an example in attitude, an example in discipline, an example in maintaining unity, and an example in the spirit of national service,” he said.
The Deputy Head of Education and Training at BPIP, Adhianti, explained that the assignment of Paskibraka members for the Pancasila Birth Anniversary represents an official state mandate in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 51 of 2022 concerning the Paskibraka Programme.
“The assignment for the Pancasila Birth Anniversary is not merely a ceremonial activity, but an official state mandate inherent to the Paskibraka programme,” said Adhianti.
According to her, Paskibraka members can only be referred to as former Paskibraka members after fulfilling their duties at the Pancasila Birth Anniversary commemoration.
The opening ceremony was concluded with a challenge ceremony led by the Deputy Head of BPIP, Rima Agristina. In this ceremony, all members were asked to reaffirm their readiness to undertake education and training before entering the centralised training barracks or Desa Bahagia.
All members of the 2025 National Flag Hoisting Team at the Central Level stood firm and declared their readiness to fulfil their duties at the 2026 Pancasila Birth Anniversary commemoration.
Through this training, the Paskibraka members are expected to be prepared to carry out the flag-hoisting duty whilst strengthening the spirit of practising Pancasila values within society.
