National Films Drive Cinema XXI's Revenue to Rp1.1 Trillion
PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (Cinema XXI/CNMA) recorded revenue of Rp1.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2026. This figure represents an 18.2% increase compared to the same period last year, which stood at Rp929.2 billion.
This achievement was supported by solid growth across all business lines, with cinema ticket sales contributing 60.6%, the food and beverage (F&B) line accounting for 32.6%, and the remainder from other revenue sources (such as advertising or digital platforms).
Cinema XXI’s President Director, Suryo Suherman, stated that cinema ticket revenue in the first quarter of 2026 rose 14.3% to Rp665.3 billion, compared to Rp582.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
F&B revenue also recorded a 15.9% increase to Rp357.6 billion, with spend per head (SPH) remaining solidly maintained.
In terms of profitability, the company booked EBITDA of Rp226.9 billion in the first quarter of 2026, an 81.2% increase from Rp125.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
The company’s financial position remains solid, with total assets of Rp6.72 trillion as of 31 March 2026. The company maintains a strong cash and cash equivalents position of Rp1.75 trillion, with total equity of Rp4.34 trillion.
Cash flow from operating activities increased to Rp106.6 billion compared to Rp28.1 billion in the same period last year, reflecting improved revenue quality and working capital management.
The first quarter of 2026 was also supported by the strong momentum of national films, particularly the screening of new films across various genres during the Eid holiday period.
Enthusiasm for Indonesian filmmakers’ works not only drives operational performance but also underscores the significant future potential of the national film industry.
In the first quarter of 2026, there were seven national film titles that each achieved more than one million viewers, an increase from three titles in the first quarter of 2025.
