National Entrepreneurship Day 2026: Full Programme of Events Announced
National Entrepreneurship Day is commemorated every 10 June in Indonesia. The observance serves as a momentum to encourage the growth of an entrepreneurial spirit whilst reinforcing the role of business actors in national economic development.
In 2026, the commemoration of National Entrepreneurship Day will once again be filled with various activities involving MSME players, business communities, the government, and the general public.
National Entrepreneurship Day was established through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 20 of 2024 concerning National Entrepreneurship Day. In the regulation, President Joko Widodo designated 10 June as National Entrepreneurship Day. Referring to the decree, the establishment of National Entrepreneurship Day is based on the consideration that entrepreneurship plays an important role in providing employment, absorbing labour, reducing economic inequality, and increasing national productivity. The government also deemed it necessary to foster entrepreneurship development and raise public awareness to become entrepreneurs.
The designation of National Entrepreneurship Day is expected to become a means of strengthening the entrepreneurial culture as well as encouraging the birth of more entrepreneurs in Indonesia. According to the considerations in Keppres Number 20 of 2024, entrepreneurship has a major contribution to economic growth through job creation and increased productivity. Therefore, the National Entrepreneurship Day commemoration is expected to increase public awareness regarding the importance of entrepreneurship. This momentum also serves as a platform to bring together business actors, the government, financing institutions, academics, and various stakeholders within the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Although it is commemorated nationally, the government has confirmed that National Entrepreneurship Day is not a public holiday.
Based on information shared via the official Instagram account of the Ministry of MSMEs, the 2026 National Entrepreneurship and MSME Day commemoration will feature a number of activities taking place throughout June 2026. The schedule includes a Leading Entrepreneurs Bursary at the Smesco Indonesia Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. A Festival on Ease of Doing Business and Business Protection will be held at the BSCC Dome Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, on Wednesday, 17 June 2026. MSME Insight #1 takes place at the Smesco Indonesia Startup Hub also on 17 June 2026 in a hybrid format. A Townhall and Financial Literacy event follows the next day, Thursday, 18 June 2026, at the Nareswara Ballroom, Smesco Indonesia. An MSME 5K Run is scheduled for Sunday, 21 June 2026, at Smesco Indonesia. An MSME Bazaar will run from 22 to 25 June 2026 at ministry/institution offices, regional government offices, and state-owned enterprises. MSME Insight #2 is set for Wednesday, 24 June 2026, at the Smesco Indonesia Startup Hub, held in a hybrid format. The series concludes with an MSME Services Festival on Thursday, 25 June 2026, at the Smesco Indonesia courtyard.
According to the Ministry of MSMEs, this series of activities forms part of the 2026 National Entrepreneurship and MSME Day commemoration, which aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, enhance the capacity of business actors, and expand access to services and collaboration for MSMEs across various regions.
