National Energy and Mineral Resources Command Post activated to ensure secure fuel supply for Eid holiday season
Jakarta (ANTARA) — The National Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) command post for the Ramadhan and Eid holiday period in 2026 has been activated to oversee energy availability throughout the festive season and peak holiday travel period, with the government ensuring that national fuel reserves exceed 30 days of supply.
Deputy Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung stated that energy availability during this period remains secure for both fuel oil (BBM) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
“National availability of both BBM and LPG exceeds adequate levels. In terms of the fuel ecosystem, BBM availability stands at approximately 30 days,” Yuliot said during the command post’s opening in Jakarta on Thursday.
He explained that this resilience is calculated across the entire energy supply ecosystem, encompassing domestic oil production, imports, refinery processing at facilities such as Balikpapan, Balongan, Cilacap, Plaju and Dumai, and distribution to storage terminals and public fuel stations.
“For ongoing operations, there is domestic crude oil transport destined for our refineries including Balikpapan, Balongan, Cilacap, Plaju and Dumai,” he said.
According to Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry data, Pertamax (RON 92) fuel reserves are available for approximately 29 days, Pertamina Dex (CN 53) for around 45 days, and aviation fuel for approximately 37 days. Yuliot further emphasised that the government will not raise the price of Pertalite (RON 90) until the end of the first quarter of 2026.
“The Minister has stated that there will be no price increase for Pertalite until the end of the first quarter of 2026,” he said.
