National education
National education
One of the objectives of education is to unite the community, not divide it. I strongly believe that our national educational system is striving for this absolute goal. This is due to the fact that our country is inhabited by people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, each with a different culture and tradition. Given that situation, the national education bill should not be enacted to become national education law.
Meanwhile, the government and House of Representatives are determined to pass the education bill, possibly for political reasons. Or maybe because the parties concerned have been working extremely hard to produce the bill and a lot of money has been spent in the process.
My worry is that even if the education bill were passed, the sharp differences between those who are for the education law and those against it would continue to exist.
It would therefore be wise for the government and the House not to pass the bill yet until common ground is found between those on either side of the argument.
