National Dhikr and Prayer Event at Monas: Jakarta Transport Agency Announces Traffic Diversions
The Jakarta Provincial Transport Agency (Dishub) will implement traffic diversions around the National Monument (Monas) area in Central Jakarta on Saturday, 1 August 2026. These measures are being taken due to the National Dhikr and Prayer 2026 event, which is scheduled to take place from late afternoon until the evening.
The Head of the Jakarta Provincial Transport Agency, Budi Awaluddin, stated that the event will run from 17:00 to 21:30 WIB. Consequently, Dishub will apply situational traffic diversions around the venue. “To avoid traffic congestion in the area, road users are advised to use alternative routes,” Budi said in a statement on Saturday.
According to Budi, Dishub has prepared several alternative routes for vehicles travelling from Harmoni, Bundaran HI, Tanah Abang, Tugu Tamin, to Kramat-Salemba. Traffic diversions will be implemented situationally based on field conditions and will be managed by officers on duty.
In addition to the traffic diversions, Budi noted that 19 parking areas have been prepared at various locations, including the IRTI Monas Parking Lot, Gambir Station, Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the National Library, Lemhannas, and Istiqlal Mosque. Visitors are requested not to park on the roadside to avoid obstructing traffic flow.
Budi urged attendees to utilise public transport services, particularly Transjakarta, which will continue to operate normally. However, should traffic diversions occur, service operations will adjust according to field conditions.
He added that motorists without specific business at the event, particularly those travelling towards Gambir Station, are advised to avoid the roads surrounding Monas. “We urge the public to prioritise road safety, adjust their travel time and routes, comply with existing traffic regulations, and follow the instructions of officers on the ground,” said Budi.

From Harmoni to Tugu Tani via Jalan Ir H Juanda, Jalan Pos, Jalan Gedung Kesenian, Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara, Jalan Lapongan Banteng Barat, Jalan Taman Pejambon, Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, and Jalan M.I. Ridwan Rais.
From Harmoni to Gambir Station via Jalan Ir H Juanda, Jalan Suryopranoto, Jalan Balikpapan, Jalan Cideng Timur, Jalan Jati Baru Raya, Jalan Kebon Sirih, and Jalan M.I. Ridwan Rais.
From the South:
From Bundaran HI to Harmoni via Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim, Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, Jalan Cideng Barat, Jalan Cideng Timur, Jalan Jati Baru Raya, Jalan Abdul Muis, and Jalan Majapahit. An alternative route is via Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Jalan Abdul Muis, and Jalan Majapahit.
