National Defence University collaborates with strategic industry SSTI
The Defence Management Study Programme at the Republic of Indonesia National Defence University (Unhan RI) has forged a synergy with the strategic industry PT SS Teknika Indonesia (SSTI), a company developing automotive technology for the transportation, logistics, energy, and defence sectors.
Permanent Lecturer at Unhan RI, Herlina Tarigan, stated that SSTI in Bekasi City, West Java, serves as one of the destinations for study visits as well as the Community Service Programme (PKM).
“This programme provides practical experience for students while emphasising the importance of contributions from every component of society in supporting national resilience,” she said in Bekasi on Thursday.
Herlina explained that the students’ activities include industry visits, discussions, and community service, which are also expected to strengthen synergies between the academic world, industry, and society.
Managing Director of PT SSTI, Cakra Winata, welcomed the visit from Unhan students as a manifestation of collaboration and part of efforts to build an innovative and globally competitive industrial ecosystem, while supporting national defence, transportation, and energy sectors.
SS Teknika is an automotive engineering company operating in the commercial vehicle and heavy equipment sectors, with capabilities in preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and engineering innovations to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety.
The company has a service network in Kalimantan and Sulawesi, supported by networks in Singapore and Dubai, and is actively developing the Electromagnetic Retarder market in Indonesia, having supplied needs to OEMs, including Hino Motor Sales Indonesia.
