National Customer Day 2026: PLN UID Yogyakarta Demonstrates Care Through 'Beras Cahaya' Programme
In a spirit of sharing to mark National Customer Day (HPN) 2026, PT PLN (Persero) Distribution Main Unit (UID) Yogyakarta, through the Yogyakarta and Wonosari Customer Service Implementation Units (UP3), alongside the PLN Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM PLN), has distributed rice assistance via the ‘Beras Cahaya’ Programme to several orphanages and institutions caring for orphans and the underprivileged in the Yogyakarta region.
The assistance was distributed to the Almaun Bina Akhlaq Mulia Foundation in Sembego, the Darun Najah Orphanage & Dhu’afa at Ponpes Al-Fadhillah in Kalongan, the Suada Az-Zuhri Orphanage & Dhu’afa Islamic Boarding School in Kradenan, and the Darul Ulum Orphanage & Islamic Boarding School in Banguntando.
The General Manager of PLN UID Yogyakarta, Deri Prasetio Utomo, stated that National Customer Day serves as a momentum for PLN to further connect with the community through service and social care.
“HPN is a momentum for PLN to not only provide reliable electricity services but also to bring benefits through social concern. Through the Beras Cahaya Programme, we hope this assistance can provide benefits to the recipients and serve as part of PLN’s spirit of sharing with the community,” said Deri.
Meanwhile, the Manager of PLN UP3 Yogyakarta and Wonosari, Agung Pratomo, noted that the Beras Cahaya Programme is a tangible form of PLN’s presence within the community.
“Through the Beras Cahaya Programme, PLN UP3 Yogyakarta and Wonosari strive to be closer to the community, especially those in need. We interpret the spirit of HPN by sharing and providing direct benefits. We hope this assistance can help with the daily needs of the recipients,” said Agung.
The collaboration between PLN and YBM PLN in this programme is part of an effort to distribute benefits directly to those in need. YBM PLN manages and distributes zakat funds from Muslim PLN employees through various social and humanitarian programmes.
The leader of the Almaun Bina Akhlaq Mulia Foundation, Idris, expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by PLN.
