National Corruption Prevention Team Holds Meeting to Discuss Corruption Mitigation for Free Nutritious Meals and Village Cooperatives Programmes
The National Corruption Prevention Team (Timnas PK) held a meeting at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB). Among the items discussed was the mitigation of potential corruption risks in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme and the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) programme.
KPK Deputy Chairman Agus Joko Pramono, who is a member of the team, said his institution continues to support the government’s programmes by conducting oversight.
“Going forward, there are several areas of concern that will be discussed in relation to mitigating corruption offences that we need to pay collective attention to, namely the government programmes related to MBG and Merah Putih Cooperatives,” Agus said at KemenPAN-RB in Jakarta on Tuesday (24/2/2026).
Agus stressed that his institution is not responding to the policy itself, but rather overseeing its implementation. The focus of oversight is the procurement processes within both programmes.
“We want to examine whether the implementation of procurement — such as spending within MBG and the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives — has been carried out in accordance with the proposals and plans made by each foundation or cooperative,” he said.
“It also needs to be emphasised that the regulatory framework for the procurement of goods and services in these programmes is not the same as the general procurement regulations, because these are specific in the context of business operations,” he added.
Agus further revealed that the Timnas PK’s reporting structure directly to the president would be carried out annually. The team has also proposed amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2018 on the National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK).
“In the proposed amendments, we will involve more ministries and institutions that have not previously been included in the presidential regulation. Among them are the Ministry of Finance, BPKP, and other institutions,” he said.
The meeting was attended by KPK representatives including KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto, KPK Deputy Chairman Agus Joko Pramono, the Coordinator of the National Secretariat for Corruption Prevention, and the Daily Coordinator of Timnas PK, along with the steering team and technical teams from five ministries and institutions that are members of Timnas PK. The Timnas PK is the body tasked with implementing the National Corruption Prevention Strategy.
