National Cooperative Day 2026: Theme, Logo Meaning, and Official Download Link
The 79th National Cooperative Day (Hari Koperasi Nasional/Harkopnas) will be commemorated on 12 July 2026. Ahead of the observance, the Ministry of Cooperatives has released the official theme and logo that will serve as the identity for this year’s event. The theme and logo symbolise the spirit of strengthening cooperatives as a pillar of the people’s economy. Members of the public, cooperative stakeholders, institutions, and regional governments may use the visual identity in accordance with the published guidelines. The official theme for Harkopnas 2026 is ‘Koperasi Berdaya, Indonesia Berjaya’ (Empowered Cooperatives, Glorious Indonesia). According to the official guidelines, ‘Empowered Cooperatives’ represents the strengthening of cooperatives’ role as a pillar of the people’s economy, enhancing the capacity of members, MSMEs, and the community through access to capital, markets, technology, and human resource development. An empowered cooperative is expected to have a healthy, professional, innovative, and sustainable institution capable of improving its members’ welfare. Meanwhile, ‘Glorious Indonesia’ depicts the aspiration to realise a robust, inclusive, and equitable national economy through modern and competitive cooperatives. The stronger the role of cooperatives, the greater their contribution to strengthening the national economic structure towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. The logo’s philosophy centres on transformation and glory. The visual identity is dominated by the number 79 combined with a red-and-white ribbon symbolising the national spirit. The ribbon represents the cooperative movement’s alignment with national interests, based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. Its forward-flowing direction depicts optimism, growth, and determination to advance Indonesian cooperatives. The interlocking numbers 7 and 9 symbolise synergy, collaboration, and solidarity. The number 7’s solid form reflects a strong foundation for the people’s economy, while the number 9’s open circular shape represents sustainable growth, youth inclusivity, and adaptability to digital transformation. The colour red signifies the courage to innovate, spirit, and positive energy in facing modern economic challenges. Black represents sincerity, transparency, justice, and good cooperative governance. The Poppins typeface was chosen to reflect a modern, adaptive, and open character. The Ministry of Cooperatives has provided visual materials and usage guidelines for the theme and logo, available for download via the official link: https://bit.ly/HARKOPNAS2026. The materials include various logo formats, design philosophy, usage rules, and application guidelines for different publication media. The peak commemoration will be held on 12 July 2026 at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta. Throughout July, the government and the Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopin) will also organise various activities in several regions, including a healthy walk and cooperative product exhibition during Car Free Day on Jalan Rasuna Said on 19 July, and the inauguration of the renovated First Cooperative Congress building in Tasikmalaya on 24 July.
