National Awakening Day: An Opportunity to Strengthen Integrity at PLN UPDL Bogor
BOGOR – PT PLN (Persero) Unit of Education and Training (UPDL) Bogor held a ceremony to commemorate the 118th National Awakening Day on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at the Soetomo Field of PLN UPDL Bogor. The solemn event was attended by all PLN UPDL Bogor staff and Trainee Batch 92 participants, honouring the nation’s heroes and reinforcing nationalist values within the workplace.
The ceremony followed official protocols, commencing with the raising of the Red and White Flag. A moment of silence was observed by all attendees to pay tribute to the heroes who fought for the country’s independence.
This was followed by recitations of the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution’s preamble, serving as a reminder of unity, national spirit, and the foundational principles of the state that must be upheld collectively.
PLN UPDL Bogor Manager Ahmad Ridani, acting as the ceremony’s inspector, delivered the message from the Minister of Communications and Digital for the 118th National Awakening Day commemoration. The message emphasised the importance of maintaining the spirit of awakening, strengthening collaboration, and fostering innovation amid rapidly evolving times.
Ridani stated that the National Awakening Day should serve as a moment for reflection for all PLN personnel to continuously strengthen integrity, discipline, and dedication in their duties and responsibilities.
‘This National Awakening Day is a reminder for us all to uphold unity, enhance professionalism, and contribute our best to both the company and the nation,’ Ridani said.
He added that the national awakening spirit should be embodied through an adaptive, collaborative work culture focused on delivering the best service. This aligns with guidance from PLN Training and Education Centre General Manager Y. Endah Cahyaningrum, who stressed the importance of strengthening competencies and synergy among all staff to support PLN’s sustainable transformation.
Through the 118th National Awakening Day commemoration, PT PLN (Persero) UPDL Bogor reaffirmed its commitment to developing a highly capable, ethical workforce with strong nationalist spirit. The event also serves as a reminder for all staff to continually improve their skills, strengthen collaboration, and actively contribute to PLN’s transformation and Indonesia’s sustainable development.
