NasDem's Saan Warms Up Party Machine for 2029 Elections During Ramadan Safari in Karawang

NasDem Party Deputy Chairman Saan Mustopa has affirmed his commitment to winning over the public, ensuring that all electoral districts in West Java — particularly West Java VII — are fully filled by the party’s best cadres.

“This is the first internal party consolidation in the Ramadan Safari series, held here in the West Java VII electoral district covering Purwakarta Regency, Karawang, and Bekasi Regency,” Saan said at the Swiss-Belinn Hotel Karawang on Saturday (21/2/2026).

Saan outlined NasDem’s notable achievements in the West Java VII district. For national House of Representatives (DPR RI) seats, the party successfully secured one seat.

At the provincial legislature level, two electoral districts — West Java IX and X — have also been filled. These gains are further bolstered by the party’s capture of 15 seats at the regency and municipal council level.

“Although our achievements in the 2024 elections are considered highly significant, the party machine must not slacken. NasDem is now warming up its engine to face the 2029 elections through early consolidation carried out in marathon fashion,” he said.

Ambitious targets have been set. For the Karawang, Purwakarta, and Bekasi areas, NasDem aims not merely to hold a top-three position but to secure second place or even emerge as the outright winner.

Saan also stressed the importance of solidarity and cohesion across all levels of the party apparatus. He called on every cadre to cultivate a militant and loyal attitude in the interest of the organisation.

“I wish to reiterate the message of the NasDem Party Chairman: this party was founded with a sincere intention to deliver genuine benefit and welfare to the wider public. I want to give special emphasis to regional and local leaders, including the Chairman of NasDem’s West Java Provincial Board, to continue safeguarding these strategic targets,” he concluded.
