The NasDem Party’s Ramadan Safari series, led by Deputy Chairman of the party’s Central Executive Board (DPP) and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Saan Mustopa, continued with two main agenda items.

The activities began with the distribution of free basic food parcels to residents in Batang Regency, followed by a consolidation meeting between the DPP and the NasDem Party’s Central Java Provincial Executive Board (DPW) in Salatiga.

In Batang Regency, at the constituency office of House of Representatives member Yoyok Riyo Sudibyo, the food distribution formed part of the spirit of sharing in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan. Hundreds of aid packages were distributed to residents as a form of social concern and commitment to delivering direct benefits to the community.

“Ramadan is a moment for sharing and strengthening empathy. Our presence must be felt as beneficial by the community,” said Saan in a statement on Monday (23/2/2026).

Following the social agenda, Saan led an internal consolidation meeting with the Central Java DPW leadership in Salatiga. The forum focused on data-based electoral tracking as preparation for the 2029 contest. The event was attended by House of Representatives members Yoyok Riyo Sudibyo, Sugeng Suparwoto, Nafa Urbach, and Sri Wulan, as well as district-level board members within the Central Java DPW’s working area.

Saan explained that the DPP is now strengthening its research and scientific data-based approach to reading the political landscape. To this end, the party has recruited political science experts with master’s and doctoral academic backgrounds from Harvard University.

The academically processed political data was then presented to the Central Java DPW leadership as material for evaluation and a basis for strategic planning towards the 2029 general elections.

“We can no longer rely solely on political instinct. Everything must be data-based. We read trends, track voter movements, and map potential objectively,” he stressed.

Beyond the data-driven approach, Saan also emphasised the importance of cultivating a fighter’s mentality and a winner’s mentality in facing future political challenges.

“The 2029 challenge will be increasingly competitive. Therefore, the first thing that must be instilled is a fighter’s and winner’s mentality. Optimism, strong determination, and the ambition to win must become the character of every cadre,” he said.

The second equally important element, according to him, is the readiness of party infrastructure. He affirmed that the prerequisite for a political party to become a major force lies in structures that are built in an organised, massive, and systemic manner down to the lowest level.

“A major party is not built on figures alone, but because its structures are alive, working, and moving systemically. A strong structure is the foundation of victory,” he said.

Furthermore, the combination of social concern, a scientific data-based approach, and the strengthening of party mentality and infrastructure became the main focus of the day’s agenda.

Through this series of activities, Saan Mustopa affirmed that the Ramadan Safari is not merely a spiritual and social space, but also a moment to strengthen the organisational foundation and political strategy in a measured manner towards 2029.
