NasDem Reminds Suhud Alynudin That Jakarta's Strategic Agenda Must Not Be Hindered
Prospective Jakarta DPRD Chairman Suhud Alynudin has stated his readiness to assume the role of council leader following approval in the DPRD plenary session. NasDem faction advisor and Deputy Chairman of the DPRD, Wibi Andrino, hopes that Suhud can strengthen synergy among factions.
“This change in DPRD Chairmanship is part of the internal democratic mechanism that complies with the rules, and it has also been agreed upon in the plenary session that met the quorum,” Wibi told reporters on Friday (1/5/2026).
“The hope is that future leadership under Mr Suhud Alynudin can further strengthen synergy among factions as well as with the executive, so that the DPRD’s work becomes more focused, solid, and directly impactful for the community,” he added.
Wibi also hopes that Suhud’s leadership can ensure continuity in strategic agendas and oversee priority programmes in Jakarta.
“In the near term, the most urgent matter is to ensure the continuity of ongoing strategic agendas, starting from budget discussions and oversight of priority programmes,” he said.
“Including public service issues such as the environment, infrastructure, and education, so that nothing is hindered during this transition period,” he added.
Furthermore, Wibi requested that this transition period does not hamper the DPRD’s performance. “The most important thing is that we want this momentum to strengthen the collective performance of the DPRD for Jakarta,” he concluded.
DPRD Agrees Suhud to Replace Khoirudin
Previously, the DPRD plenary session approved the proposal to replace the DPRD Chairman from Khoirudin to Suhud Alynudin. The proposal is a follow-up to the PKS central board’s decision.
“Mr Suhud Alynudin is proposed as Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD for the remaining term of 2024-2029,” said Deputy Chairman of the DPRD, Ima Mahdiah.
She then explained the next mechanism is submission to the central government through the governor.
“Later through the Governor of DKI, it will proceed to the Ministry of Home Affairs. So we await the decision from the Ministry of Home Affairs,” Ima stated.
On the same occasion, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed appreciation for Suhud’s appointment as prospective DPRD Chairman. He assured that he would promptly follow up the proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs upon receiving the official letter from the DPRD.
“Once the letter is submitted to the DKI Government, to me as governor, I will immediately follow it up to the Ministry of Home Affairs to become a decision,” Pramono said.
