NasDem: Prabowo Already Knows Who the Financiers Are Behind All the Unrest

NasDem Party DPP Chairperson Irma Surya Chaniago has commented on President Prabowo Subianto’s claim that he knows the parties responsible for paying for recent protest actions. Irma believes that Prabowo actually knows who the financiers behind these movements are.

“If the President has spoken in such a manner, it means the President truly knows who the financiers are behind all the unrest during his term as President,” Irma told reporters on Friday (2_6/6/2026).

Irma assessed that public officials and politicians should be able to maintain stability amidst dynamic global conditions to ensure the government can continue to function at maximum capacity.

“In the current global economic and political conditions that impact almost all nations, statesmen, political parties, politicians, and academics must work together to maintain public order. This allows the government to effectively execute its duties, meet food security needs, and safeguard all other public necessities,” she said.

The NasDem legislator expressed hope that no parties would cause further disruption, ensuring that investors are not deterred from supporting job creation in Indonesia.

“Put aside practical political interests to ensure a conducive atmosphere; this way, existing foreign investors will not flee, and those wishing to enter will have guaranteed business security. Consequently, employment can be created,” she added.

Prabowo previously touched upon several issues during his speech at the XVII National Peak Convention (Penas) for Farmers and Fishermen in Gorontalo on Wednesday (24/6), including recent demonstrations in several regions. Prabowo stated that he is aware of the actors behind these protests.

Prabowo noted that these parties dislike him and asserted that he is aware of corrupt individuals.

“Politely, they are still thieves; politely, they are corrupt. Acting rich, acting like they have lots of money, even if that money is stolen from the people. I have been an Indonesian for a long time; I know all of them, brothers. They dislike Prabowo because Prabowo understands,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo mentioned that these parties were also involved in providing payments for recent demonstrations and issued a warning to them.

“My fellow citizens, be careful. I am warning them. I know who is paying for the protests; I know it. But it is fine, go ahead with the protests. When asked, the protesters themselves don’t understand. What are they protesting for? ‘We are paid Rp 200,000,’ they say. It is there. I do not understand,” he said.
