For 15 days, the NasDem DPP delegation led by Deputy Chairman Saan Mustofa conducted a Ramadan safari focused on Java. The activities were focused on Java. Saan said during the visits they held gatherings with cadres, kiai, and the public.

‘Why Java region? In Java there are 39 electoral districts (Dapil). In the 2024 election, out of 39 Dapil, 27 were filled, leaving 12 — four in East Java (Jatim), three in Central Java (Jateng) and three in West Java (Jabar),’ Saan said on Saturday, 7 March 2026.

He noted that Java is the region contributing the most Dapil. For that reason, the Ramadan safari was conducted in Java. Besides courting support, they are also trying to raise their electability.

‘Our average electability is 6 percent after the elections. Usually after the first and second elections we measure 2.5-3 percent; in the third election it rose by almost 100 percent to 6 percent,’ he said.

However, from 6 percent, when broken down to Java it averages 2 percent and that is below the national average.

‘There is an extraordinary gap. This is a big PR issue to be addressed, and this is the instruction of the General Chairman that 2029 should be the focus of all NasDem components across Java. If Java is indeed NasDem’s weak base compared with others,’ he explained.

Saan said that for the 2029 elections the NasDem General Chairman, Surya Paloh, targets 100 seats in the DPR RI.

‘The chairman targets 100 seats and wants to be in the top three; from the three elections we have not yet reached the top three and we have not yet obtained 100 seats in the DPR RI, but the target is getting closer,’ he asserted.

‘In the first election we trailed by 64 seats, in the second by 42 seats, and in the third by 31 seats, so we are getting closer to the chairman’s target. The same applies to the first election where we were ninth, second fourth, and the third still in the top four; the target is the top three. Not impossible to achieve, because our vote share is approaching the chairman’s target,’ Saan added.

To NasDem cadres in West Java, Saan urged them to stay solid and win NasDem’s third place in West Java and nationally.

‘This is an effort, an effort targeted by the chairman, and our shared target is to place NasDem in the top three. Let us manage this party with care; I urge us to strengthen our commitment, with united resolve for 2029. NasDem West Java in the top three, all Dapil filled in DPR RI, provinces and regencies/cities,’ he concluded.
