Nanobank Syariah Launches Generasi Syariah Campaign, Targeting Youth Financial Literacy
PT Bank Nano Syariah launched the Generasi Syariah movement. This is an effort to encourage the younger generation to make Islamic finance principles part of a modern lifestyle that is considered more meaningful and impactful. The initiative was introduced as part of efforts to strengthen literacy as well as financial inclusion in Indonesia, particularly among the younger generation. Through the Generasi Syariah movement, the company hopes that Sharia principles can be closer to the everyday life of society, especially youth who are increasingly active in using digital financial services. Corporate Banking Director of Nanobank Syariah Soejanto said, this movement is designed to build a new mindset towards the values of Sharia in modern life. “Generasi Syariah is not merely a religious label, but a movement for those who want to live life in a better way. We want to show that Sharia is not something rigid, but a compass in thinking, choosing, and transacting more wisely and with greater impact,” Soejanto said in a press release, Saturday (7/3/2026).
Director General (CEO) of Nanobank Syariah Halim said the launch of the Generasi Syariah movement is also part of the company’s commitment to delivering broader impact, not only through banking services but also social contributions. He stated that the company’s business growth is expected to rise in tandem with increased benefits for society. “For Nanobank Syariah, business growth must go hand in hand with social usefulness. Therefore we are committed to continuing to channel zakat from income and employee infaq through BAZNAS,” Halim said.
The Generasi Syariah movement is also accompanied by various initiatives aimed at increasing understanding and involvement of the younger generation in Islamic finance. Through this campaign, Nanobank Syariah is launching a number of educational programs, including digital campaigns and an educational podcast titled “Obrolan Abu-Abu”.
