Nanik Deyang Officially Inaugurated as Head of BGN
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Nanik S. Deyang as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) on Monday afternoon (8/6). Nanik was appointed to lead the BGN, succeeding Dadan Hindayana, who was previously dismissed by President Prabowo. This appointment is based on Presidential Decree Number 18/M of 2026, regarding the dismissal and appointment of the Head and Deputy Head of the BGN, as well as the dismissal of the Deputy Head of BPKP.
In addition to Nanik, President Prabowo also appointed two new Deputy Heads of the BGN, namely Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono, to replace Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya. Following the appointments, President Prabowo administered the oath of office, which was taken by Nanik and her colleagues.
This leadership change follows reports that Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk were named suspects in an alleged corruption case within the BGN, currently being investigated by the Attorney General’s Office, just one day after their dismissal.
Alongside the BGN officials, President Prabowo also appointed the President of the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPI) and Chairman of the Labour Party, Said Iqbal, as the Special Advisor to the President for Labour and Worker Welfare. Earlier on Monday afternoon, President Prabowo also received Letters of Credential from Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors.
