JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The owner of Bibi Kelinci Kemang restaurant, Nabilah O’Brien, is confirmed to appear to comply with the summons by the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III on Monday 9 March 2026. The summons follows Nabilah’s request for assistance after she was named a suspect following her posting of CCTV footage relating to an incident in which a husband-and-wife couple went on a rampage in her restaurant and allegedly left with food without paying. ‘We are very grateful to the Chair of Commission III, Mr Habiburokhman, for directly listening to the matters affecting our client. We will attend, with good intentions,’ said Nabilah’s counsel, Goldie Natasya Swarovski, at a press conference on Friday 6 March 2026. She also believes there is no criminal element in Nabilah’s act of posting CCTV footage on social media. Goldie compared Nabilah’s action with other social media accounts that frequently post CCTV videos. According to her, this action actually helps the public be more cautious. ‘What we are saying is that we believe there are no elements of criminal offence,’ Goldie asserted. Previously, the Chair of Commission III, Habiburokhman, said they would invite Nabilah to a Public Hearing (RDPU) scheduled for Monday 9 March 2026. The hearing would also be attended by law enforcement officials to clarify the case. ‘We will invite Nabilah together with her counsel and the relevant law enforcement authorities,’ Habiburokhman said in a statement on Friday. The incident began when a couple identified by the initials ER and ZK visited the Bibi Kelinci restaurant on Friday 19 September 2025. They reportedly felt dissatisfied because their order took longer than expected. The restaurant owner, Nabilah O’Brien, explained that a surge in orders at the time caused longer serving times. ‘This woman entered the kitchen, which is prohibited, insulted my head of kitchen and threatened to smash up my restaurant,’ Nabilah said in a post on her Instagram account, @nabobrien. Not stopping there, they left the restaurant carrying 11 portions of food and three drinks, without paying a single penny.
