Name Appears Nearly 2,000 Times in Epstein Archive, Daniel Siad Found Dead
Daniel Siad, a modelling scout known to have had a professional relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead at his residence in Colombes, a suburb of Paris. His death comes as French authorities continue to investigate a number of complaints against him and an alleged human trafficking network linked to Epstein.
The Nanterre public prosecutor’s office stated that Siad’s body was discovered on Monday evening. The 69-year-old was found at his home in Colombes, in the Hauts-de-Seine area northwest of Paris. Local judicial police have been tasked with investigating the cause of death.
The prosecutor’s office also ordered an autopsy. As of the time of reporting, authorities have not announced the official cause of Siad’s death.
His lawyer, Menya Arab-Tigrine, told Reuters that Siad died of a heart attack. However, this account remains a statement from the defence and has not yet been confirmed as the official conclusion of the forensic investigation.
Network Investigation Continues
Siad’s death does not halt the broader investigation into alleged human trafficking and financial crimes within the network of individuals connected to Epstein.
Paris Prosecutor Laure Beccuau said the investigation will proceed. Around 10 investigators are still working on the case.
Since the wide-ranging inquiry was opened in February 2026, a total of 24 women have come forward to authorities or been identified. They have provided testimony as victims or witnesses regarding alleged acts linked to Siad or other parties.
During the investigation, Siad had been the target of several special investigative measures, including telephone tapping. However, the Paris Prosecutor’s Office said the surveillance results had not yet yielded sufficient evidence to justify an immediate arrest of Siad.
Siad also never had the opportunity to be questioned directly by investigators before his death. His lawyer said Siad had on several occasions requested the chance to give his account to French authorities.
