Police have revealed that the naked man with the initials J, who went viral for going on a rampage and assaulting a motorcyclist in the Lenteng Agung area of Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, is in fact a university student.

“That is correct. The information is that the person concerned is a student,” said AKP Joko Adi to reporters at the South Jakarta Police Headquarters on Wednesday (19/8).
Joko said J is known to live in a boarding house in the Lenteng Agung area. Police are still investigating the identity and background of the perpetrator, including the campus where he is pursuing his education.
“As for which university, please let us investigate further first, colleagues,” he said.
“The perpetrator is in Lenteng Agung. He is in a boarding house,” he added.
At present, J is still undergoing examination by investigators. Police are trying to gather information regarding the condition and motive of the perpetrator until he committed the assault against a passing motorist.
“However, of course an interrogation is currently being carried out regarding the truth of what was experienced by the alleged perpetrator,” he explained.
J’s actions previously went viral on social media after he went on a rampage on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (18/8) evening.
In the circulating video, J can be seen not wearing any clothes while in the middle of the road. He then approached a motorist and struck an online motorcycle taxi driver using a piece of plywood until the victim fell.
