Naked Man Causes Alarm in Karanganyar After Breaking into Homes

Residents in Dukuh Wonolapan, Wonorejo Village, Gondangrejo, Karanganyar were alarmed by a naked man frequently wandering around. The unidentified man has been seen walking through the neighbourhood multiple times over the past three months.

RT 01 RW 12 chairman Supriyanto said the suspect’s actions were captured on residents’ CCTV. Residents first noticed the naked man on 27 February 2026.

Initially, the man only walked around Wonolapan village. Over time, his behaviour became bolder, even entering a resident’s home.

“We initially thought he was crazy or something, but he kept returning. About three weeks ago, he entered the housing estate, jumped over the fence, went into the house, then entered a bedroom where a girl was sleeping. She woke up, panicked, and hid. Her mother turned on the lights, and he ran off,” Supriyanto said.

The man entered the residential area around 11:30 PM when the neighbourhood was quiet. Most recently, he returned on Saturday, 23 May, despite residents and Gondangrejo Police Station officers conducting patrols.

Gondangrejo Police Station Chief AKP Subkhi confirmed the incident, stating that they had received reports from residents.

“We received a report of a naked man in Perum Merah Putih housing estate, Wonorejo Village, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency three days ago,” Subkhi said.
