Nak Badung Scholarship Registration Extended Until 12 September 2026

The Badung Regency Government (Pemkab Badung) has extended the registration period for the Nak Badung Scholarship until 12 September 2026. The move was taken because the available scholarship quota remains largely unfilled.

Head of the Badung Education, Youth and Sports Office (Disdikpora), I Gusti Made Dwipayana, revealed that applicants for the Affirmation category had only reached 150 people, while the Motivation category had reached 2,818 people. According to him, many prospective recipients have not yet completed the required documents for the Motivation scholarship.

“Many have not yet completed their registration or fulfilled the document requirements. Therefore, the application deadline, originally 15 August 2026, has been extended again until 12 September 2026,” said Dwipayana on Friday (28/8/2026).

Dwipayana said that a total of 6,057 accounts had been created, comprising 4,742 Motivation Scholarship accounts, 1,007 S-1/D4 Scholarship accounts, 245 S-1 and Professional Scholarship accounts, and 63 Professional Programme Scholarship accounts. For the Motivation Scholarship specifically, only 2,818 applications had been submitted out of a total quota of 4,662 for the SMA/SMK level.

“Initially the Affirmation quota was 400, then for Motivation we estimated around 7,000 applicants but only around 5,000 came in. After verification, some did not meet the requirements, so there was a budget surplus which we reallocated to increase the Affirmation quota,” said Dwipayana.

The reallocation of the remaining Motivation Scholarship budget caused the Affirmation Scholarship quota to jump from 400 to 1,000 recipients. Of the total quota available in 2026, the Badung Regency Government has prepared 1,035 quotas for S-1/D-4 level scholarships, 100 quotas for S-1 and Professional scholarships, and 70 quotas for the Professional Programme.

“The quota is still available, please apply. If everyone follows the mechanism in the system, it is actually easy because the Badung Government has prepared the Nak Badung Scholarship application,” said Dwipayana.

Meanwhile, the Affirmation Scholarship applications received so far totalled 128 applicants for S-1/D4, 17 applicants for S-1 and Professional, and 5 applicants for the Professional Programme. Prospective Affirmation Scholarship recipients are prioritised for farming families and prospective recipients named Nyoman and Ketut.

“However, this priority does not automatically determine acceptance because all prospective recipients must still meet the requirements and follow the selection mechanism of the Nak Badung Scholarship Programme. The public can follow the announcements and stages that have been conveyed in the system,” concluded Dwipayana.
