Meulaboh, Aceh – The Nagan Raya Regency Government has received Rp300 million in disaster recovery funds from PT Bara Energi Lestari (BEL) to support rehabilitation and reconstruction underway to restore conditions for those affected by the disaster. The aid was presented as a sign of synergy and collaboration between the private sector and local government to accelerate infrastructure recovery and the livelihoods of affected communities. “This aid provides additional energy for the local government to speed up the rehabilitation and reconstruction process, so that communities can recover and resume normal activities as soon as possible,” said Acting Regional Secretary Zulkifli of Nagan Raya Regency in Nagan Raya on Wednesday. He expressed appreciation for the company’s contribution. Private sector support helps the government speed up the post-disaster recovery process from the flash flood that struck the area on 25 November 2025. He stated that the funds would be used for post-disaster recovery in Nagan Raya and to support recovery of the education sector in the Beutong Ateuh Banggalang area which was severely damaged. PT BEL’s CSR Head Agussalim said the assistance is part of the company’s commitment to be present and provide tangible benefits to communities around its operational area. “As part of Nagan Raya Regency, we feel a moral responsibility to help accelerate post-disaster recovery. Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden on the community and support the government’s steps in the rehab-recon process,” he said. He hopes the synergy between the company and the local government can continue to be strengthened, especially in facing various challenges, including hydrometeorological disasters that require rapid and collaborative responses.
