Nadhea Clarifies After Being Accused of Involvement in Alcohol Challenge
A woman named Nadhea Devi has issued a clarification after being accused of being the woman in white allegedly involved in an alcohol challenge at The Sound Project music festival in Ancol, North Jakarta some time ago.
Nadhea denied that she is the woman in the viral video or that she was involved in the incident, which has since become a legal case.
“Here I want to explain and set the record straight regarding the alleged blasphemy case that has been circulating on social media, which has dragged my name and my family’s name into it. First, I want to explain that the perpetrator in this photo is clearly not me. And I have absolutely no connection to this matter,” Nadhea said in a video uploaded to her Threads account @nadheadevi on Friday (14/8).
Moreover, according to her, the police have arrested a suspect in this case.
Nadhea then explained why she had changed her social media accounts. She said she did so because she felt panicked.
Nadhea’s name and social media accounts were circulated with a narrative identifying her as the woman in white in the alcohol challenge video. Nadhea’s social media accounts have since been deactivated.
Regarding the deactivated social media accounts, Nadhea admitted to changing her accounts.
“Regarding my social media accounts that I changed and so on, that happened because I truly felt panicked and I did not know what else to do. Because honestly I did not do anything, but why are netizens attacking me,” she said.
Furthermore, Nadhea asked all parties not to act rashly and to leave the legal process to the police. She also asked the public to stop carelessly accusing people whose involvement has not been proven.
“And to all my friends who have spread my personal data, I ask you not to spread it further and to delete my personal data from social media. I hope this matter can be resolved quickly and find clarity,” she said.
