Nabilah O’Brien, an influencer and owner of Bibi Kelinci Kopitiam, spoke out after being named a suspect following the posting of CCTV footage linked to a theft at her restaurant. She was named a suspect in a complaint lodged by Zhendy Kusuma and his wife, while Zhendy and his wife are also suspects in a theft case reported by Nabilah.

‘To Mr Z and Mrs E. I want to ask you directly, where is your conscience? You came to my establishment, took 14 of our food and beverage products without paying a single rupiah,’ Nabilah said at a press conference in South Jakarta on Friday, 6 March.

‘The not only did that, you insulted my staff, entered my kitchen area, and shouted and abused my employees who were working to earn a living,’ she added.

Nabilah claimed she is the owner of the restaurant and said she has never abused or sworn at her staff. ‘I never did that to them. And others come in, take my capital, and insult my staff,’ she said.

She also questioned why Zhendy and his wife would report her, including the demand for Rp1 billion.

‘Tega sekali kalian justru melaporkan saya balik. Untuk apa? Kalian sendiri sudah mengakui bahwa kalian mengambil makanan itu. Namun sekarang kalian menuntut saya Rp1 miliar rupiah sampai 5 bulan lamanya,’ she said.

Earlier, Nabilah O’Brien said she had been named a suspect after discussing the theft case on social media. She shared that on her Instagram account @nabobrien.

‘Saya korban pencurian yang menjadi tersangka di Bareskrim Polri. Saya diam selama lima bulan karena saya takut untuk bersuara dan berbicara,’ she wrote, as cited on Friday (6/3).

For context, the case began when the couple, initials ZK and ER, vented their anger because the food they ordered from Nabilah’s restaurant did not arrive. Not only did they swear at the kitchen staff, they also took food home without paying.

Nabilah later reported ZK and ER to the police. After investigation, ZK and ER were named suspects.

Regarding this, the Public Relations Head of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, said there are two separate matters at Nabilah’s restaurant. The first is an alleged theft under Article 363 of the Penal Code, handled by Mampang Prapatan Police.

‘There, NAA (Nabilah) as the victim reported ZK and ESR. Both suspects have been named; they are scheduled for examination on Monday, 9 March 2026, but their lawyers have sent a letter requesting a postponement,’ he said.

Then, the second matter concerns the posting of CCTV footage to social media, handled by Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri, in which Nabilah is the suspect.

‘So, it should be understood that these are two different cases, with different objects. That means there are legal consequences for both sides,’ he added.

‘Police remain professional, proportional and transparent in handling the cases.’
