JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Instagram influencer Nabilah O’Brien and her accuser, Zendhy Kusuma, have reached a peace agreement in a case of alleged defamation that had previously been handled by the police. Both parties have also withdrawn their police reports.

The head of the Public Information Bureau, Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said the peace agreement was reached after the parties met and signed a peace pact.

‘Ms Z and, together with the wife of Ms ES, and also the party of Ms NA and also KDH, four parties were present, and then made the peace agreement. In the peace agreement, as we have just stated, in this process each party has withdrawn their reporting from their respective complainants,’ Trunoyudo said when met at the Police Headquarters on Sunday (8/3/2026) night.

He explained that in addition to the withdrawal of reports, the parties also agreed to remove social media content that referenced each other.

‘Thus, in the mediation record process, followed by withdrawal, and earlier in front of us all, there was deletion on each party’s social media, which indeed is part of the peace agreement,’ he said.

Trunoyudo added that the peace is hoped to give a sense of justice to all involved.

‘The future projection is that this can provide a sense of justice, especially given that this is during Ramadan, and it is a form of worship that is blessed, fostering ties and mutual reflection; and presently each party has withdrawn their reports,’ he added.

When asked about the continued legal status of the case, Trunoyudo stressed that both sides had withdrawn their respective reports.

‘Yes, there has been withdrawal from each reporting party, specifically to withdraw in this reporting,’ he said.

In a separate interview at the Police Headquarters, Nabilah confirmed that the matter had been settled amicably. She also stated that she is no longer under investigation.

‘In short, I am not a suspect anymore,’ said Nabilah.

When asked whether she had reconciled with the accuser, she said she had forgiven her accuser.
