Nabil Husain Applauds the Performance of East Kalimantan's Law Enforcement Agencies
INFO NASIONAL - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III, Nabil Husain Said, praised the performance of law enforcement officers in East Kalimantan Province who have maintained security and enforced the law in the region. The appreciation was conveyed during the Commission III DPR RI Working Visit to the East Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarters, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan, on Thursday, 5 March 2026.
He also expressed appreciation to all law enforcement agencies in East Kalimantan, from the Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, to the Kalimantan Timur Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP Kalimantan Timur). He said interagency synergy among law enforcement agencies is very important to maintain order while providing protection to the community.
In his view, the East Kalimantan Police’s Operation Keselamatan to increase traffic discipline deserves appreciation. He also agrees that this step is an important part of creating a culture of orderly traffic among the public.
In addition, he also commended all ranks of the East Kalimantan Police, particularly Samarinda Police, which is seen as responsive to various public complaints. The presence of police officers who respond quickly to various cases, such as theft, mugging, or other security disturbances, greatly helps create a sense of safety in the community.
“Polres Samarinda I see as quite quick to respond to public complaints, even for small cases. This is important because the public needs the presence of officers who are ready,” he said.
Therefore, Nabil hopes that the police in East Kalimantan can continue to maintain their commitment to providing the best service to the public and to maintaining security stability in the region. This appreciation, he said, was also extended to the East Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office, which is believed to have strived to secure state assets through various law enforcement steps.
During the same occasion, Nabil also provided input regarding supervision of electronic cigarettes or vape products that are misused for consuming narcotics to the Head of BNNP Kalimantan Timur. He said oversight needs to be strengthened so that circulation does not spread further, especially among vulnerable communities.
“There needs to be tighter supervision of circulation. Let us not allow its use to increase and ensnare the public. It is better we take anticipatory steps early before the impacts become larger.”
